Chrysalis agrees £107m takeover


Chrysalis Group,UK music publisher is being sold for £107.4m.

German rival Bertelsmann Media Group (BMG) and private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) bought the Chrysalis group.

The publishing rights to songs by artists including David Bowie and Michael Jackson had been control by the London-based Chrysalis group.

Chrysalis, founded in 1969, used to own a record company of the same name before it was sold to EMI in 1991.

Chris Wright, Chrysalis' founder, said the deal marked "the end of one era and the start of another" for the firm.

Take That album breaks records


The new album by Take That band had so far done fastest business this century.

The band first album in 16 years 'Progress' which cast Robbie Williams sold 235,000 copies in its first day.

It all happened after the band Take Take give combined performance after their reunion and just after the show a record sale had been recorded.

Oasis's third album, 'Be Here Now', still holds the record for the biggest first day sales after it shifted 350,000 in 24 hours back in 1997.

Martin Talbot from the Official Charts Company speaking about Take That's sales,"This is a phenomenal achievement from an already phenomenally successful band."

Earlier this month, the band smashed another record when their tour became the biggest and fastest-selling in UK history.

Jackson New Album Songs Are Fake.....

"The songs which are being released on the new Michael Jackson album were unfinished and incomplete tracks" unveiled by Micheal Jackson mother in LA on Nov 6.

"I have posted a track called "Opis None" at her JacksonSecretVault Web site" Katherine Jackson told TMZ.com on Friday.

"The piece is merely a remix of "Destiny," a1978 single by the Jacksons" revealed by Showbiz411.com on Saturday

Showbiz411 said "Destiny" is credited on BMI's site to Michael and his brothers Jermaine, Marlon, Tito and Jackie. The original recording is owned by Sony, not by Katherine Jackson

"In an effort to overcome the confusion as to the authenticity of the track the estate has recently released, we want to give an actual authentic Michael Jackson track to the world ... for free."

Sony is releasing an album called "Michael" Dec. 14.

Showbiz411 says the Secret Vault collection is remixes, outtakes and video versions of existing music.Howard Mann, Katherine's partner in the Secret Vault, told TMZ.
